Our History
Creatside Ltd was established in1974 by 4 cable jointers: Barry Robinson, Peter Stone, Terry Hearn and Peter Bradshaw.
The name of the business was decided simply by the name of the street where the first office was set up! Ingenious – and just like that Creatside Ltd was born.
Barrie Robinson and his wife, June, managed the business for many of the early years, without emails and mobile phones. They developed the “family” ethos by bringing their son, Gary, into the team.
As Barry and June stepped into retirement it paved the way for Barry’s son, Gary and his wife, Jackie, to take Creatside forward throughout the 2000’s.

New Beginnings
This brings us to Creatside as we all know it today. With Gary and Jackie Robinson stepping aside to retire, and new owners, Sheri Irons and Mark Fotherby taking over the family business.
Sheri and Mark, bring with them plenty of industry experience as well as an established sister business, INDSS Ltd, specialising in high voltage electrical engineering.
Creatside and INDSS – A match made in heaven as we can now offer the full spectrum of electrical works, from installation of cables to final testing and commissioning of both HV and LV electrical plant.

50 Years of Service
Creatside Ltd is celebrating 50 years of service to the industry in 2024.
Fully Accredited
We are members of the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contractors (NICEIC), the Joint Industry Board (J.I.B) and we are accredited to ISO9001 and ISO45001 at UKAS level as well as Constructionline Gold and Safe Contractor.
